Jag har äntligen hittat en läppstiftsförvaring som duger! Ni minns ju kanske hur det såg ut tidigare..
MUJI har en serie skrivbordsförvaringsprylar i akryl, och denna med 12 fack ligger nu stabilt i en av mina Helmers. Det lär bli en till framöver, för jag har som ni ser ännu mer läppstift som ligger och dräller. Man kan plocka runt innerväggarna lite hur man vill så jag gjorde fyra stora och fyra små fack istället för 12 små.
Dessa smarta lådor finns på Åhléns och kostar 169 kr.
I've finally found a lipstick storage thingy that works! You might remember how it looked before..
MUJI sells a series of office storage stuff in acrylic, and this one with 12 compartments now lies steady in one of my Helmers. I'll probably get another one later, because I've got even more lipsticks lying around as you can see. You can move the compartment thingies around however you like, so I made four big and four small compartments instead of 12 small.
Not sure where to get these and how much they cost where you live, check the MUJI website!

Köpte Lily Lolos mineralfoundation och är suupernöjd! Aldrig testat mineralsmink förut så.. tyvärr var färgen lite fel och kan man blanda nyanser på mineralfoundation? Tror jag sett i dina sminkningar ( produktlistan) att du gjort det. Men liksom.."vispar" man bara ihop färgerna? Flytande foundation blandar man ju lite lättare...
Svar:
Helt rätt Christina, mineralfoundations i puderform kan du blanda hejvilt! Märken, finish eller vad som helst spelar ingen roll. Jag brukar blanda ihop i större parti, alltså hälla över de foundations jag vill blanda i en burk och skaka om för att blanda. Då har jag produkt så det räcker ett bra tag utan att jag behöver blanda varje dag.

I bought the Lily Lolo mineral foundation and I'm soo satisfied! I've never tried mineral makeup before so.. Sadly the colour was a bit off, can you mix different shades of mineral foundation? I think that I've seen you do it in your looks (the product list) but.. do you like "whisk" the colours together? I mean, liquid foundation is a lot easier to mix...
Answer:
That's right Christina, mineral foundations can be mixed in any way you want! Brand, finish or whatever doesn't matter. I usually mix them in bigger amounts, I just pour the foundations I want to mix into a separate jar and shake to mix. That leaves me with a lot of product so that I don't need to mix more every day.

Eftersom jag fortfarande är kameralös får ni helt enkelt ännu en skamlös gif!
Kolla, bästa skrubbprylen! Köpte den på skoj för 99 cent på eBay och vi har nu under en period varit oskiljaktiga. Det är alltså en liten gummiplatta med små skrubbpluttar på som man använder för att peela ansiktet. Jag använder den ihop med min ansiktstvätt varje dag jag burit smink för att den hjälper till att ta bort ansiktssmink så himla bra.
Sök på "facial cleansing pad" på eBay så hittar du den!

Look at this, an awesome scrub thingy! I bought it for 99 cents on eBay for fun, and now we've been best friends for a while. It's basically a rubber thingy with tiny scrubbing dots that you use to peel your face. I use it with my facial cleanser every day that I've been wearing makeup, it helps removing facial makeup really well.
Search for "facial cleansing pad" on eBay and you'll find it!

Det första jag kan passa på att säga är att de flesta med blek hy har en kall underton (= drar mot rosa). Bara som en riktigt grundläggande riktlinje.
Blodådre-trixet
Folk brukar säga att de med kall (rosa) underton har blå/lilatonade blodådror på handlederna medan de med varm (gul) har gröna blodådror (på grund av färgmixen), men jag tycker inte att det är en metod värd att lita på eftersom handleder absolut inte behöver ha samma underton som ansikte/hals. Mina armar/händer är exempelvis varma medan ansikte/hals/bröstkorg är neutral-kall.
Ta hjälp av smycken
Här är ett tips jag tycker fungerar ganska bra. Lägg ett silverfärgat och ett guldfärgat halsband mot ditt osminkade ansikte och se vilket som ser mest smickrande ut mot hudtonen. En av kombinationerna bör ha en extra "pop", medan den andra ser tråkigare ut. Kalla undertoner passar bäst i silver och varma i guld, medan neutrala undertoner brukar se bra ut i båda.
Bara kolla upp det!
..Men mitt BÄSTA och mest säkra tips är att gå till en sminkbutik/disk du litar på, testa tre foundations på halsen (kall, neutral och varm) och se vad som matchar bäst. Om du fortfarande tycker att det är svårt att se, be om hjälp!
Testar smyckesmetoden. Min hy är helt klart neutral-kall eftersom båda färgerna fungerar men silver poppar mer.
Using the jewellery method. My skin is clearly neutral-cool as both colours work but silver pops a bit more.
First of all I can say that most pale people are cool toned (= lean towards pink). Just as a super basic guideline.
The vein trick
You often hear the saying that cool (pink) toned people have blue/purple veins on their wrists and warm (yellow) toned people have green (because of the colour mix), but I think it's far from a trustworthy because your wrists don't need to have the same undertone as your neck/face. For example, my arms/hands are warm but my face/neck/chest is neutral-cool.
Using jewellery
Here's a tip that I find quite useful. Put a silver and a gold necklade against your naked face, and see what looks most flattering against your skintone. One of the combinations should have an extra "pop" and one should look a bit more dull. Cool people tend to look best in silver and warm people in gold, neutral skin looks good in both.
Just look it up!
..But my BEST and most secure tip is to find a trustworthy makeup counter/store, try three foundations on your neck (cool, neutral and warm) and see what matches the best. If you still think it's hard to see, ask for help!

I samband med detta blogginlägg blev jag frågad om jag kunde skriva ett inlägg om icke djurtestat smink. Visst kan jag väl det! Jag är absolut inte den vassaste kniven i lådan här, men jag har absolut tips och riktlinjer. Här under har ni min lista på toppenbra märken som inte testar på djur. Som ni ser finns det JÄTTEMYCKET att välja bland, så att gå cruelty free är inte svårt! Här är en lista på ickedjurtestande märken PETA sammanställt, en betydligt längre sådan.
After posting this blog post I got asked if I could write a blog post about make up that's not tested on animals. Of course I can! I'm not the the sharpest knife in the drawer on this, but I definitely have some tips and guidelines. Below you have my list of great brands that don't do animal testing. Djurtestande företag
De största bovarna man brukar prata om i djurförsöksväg är L'Oréal. De äger skitmånga märken och vad jag vet djurtestar allihop. Så ni kan ju kolla deras egen lista på märken de äger så ser ni vilka ni bör undvika om ni hänger på cruelty free-spåret. Här har ni PETAs lista på djurtestande företag.
Animal testing brands
The biggest brand that people use to talk about in animal testing is L'Oréal. They own a heckload of brands and from what I know all of them do test on animals. If not, why give money to a brand where you know that your money seeps up into a big animal testing one? Apart from this, here is the long list of animal testing brands from PETA.

Var står jag i frågan?
Detta är en tvetydig historia jag skäms lite över. Jag själv köper inte djurtestade produkter, men jag kan inte heller helt ignorera de produkter som som skickas till mig. Om jag bara skrev om de märken jag vill stödja så skulle mina blogginlägg och det jag skrivier i tidningen SOLO bli väldigt smalt. Men jag lyfter till 110% hellre fram cruelty free-märkena än de djurtestande samt sminkar mig till största del bara med det "rena". Skulle jag sluta med allt vad bloggande och tidningsskrivande heter så skulle de djurtestade märkena aldrig tittas åt igen då min "public service" inte skulle kännas viktig längre. Förstår ni hur jag tänker?
Where do I stand?
It's an ambiguous question that I'm a bit ashamed of. I don't buy products tested on animals, but I can't fully ignore the products that are sent to me. If I only wrote about the brands that I DO want to back up my blog posts and what I write in the SOLO magazine would be very narrow. But I prefer to 110% to talk about the cruelty free brands than the animal testing ones plus mostpoart of what makeup I wear is "clean". If I would stop blogging and writing for SOLO I would never look at the animal testing brands again as my "public service" wouldn't be as important anymore. Do you understand what I mean?

4Poor man's MUFE Flash Palette

Har pysslat lite idag med ett påhitt jag styrt länge på att ta tag i. Jag använder sällan mina Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils från NYX (ungefär som stora krämiga kajalpennor, bra under ögonskuggor) eftersom de är kladdiga och måste vässas så ofta och sådär, och för ett tag sedan insåg jag hur jag skulle lösa problemet.
Jag antar att ni sett Flash Color Palette från Make Up For Ever? Om inte så är det en palett fylld med krämiga färger som kan användas över hela kroppen, kolla in Temptalias blogginlägg för närmre info. Går på dryga tusenlappen, snordyr och alldeles våldsamt fin. Nej jäklar, jag ska göra en egen palett i samma koncept! Så jag beställde hem en liten förvaringsbox från Ebay, kostade under en tia. Fyllde sedan lådan/paletten med mina Jumbo Pencils (en dryg tjuga styck på Cherryculture) och har nu även kvar plats för några fler. Låtsas vi att jag fyllde hela paletten så ligger den totala kostnaden på dryga 200 kronor. Så himla bra! Och nu går de kladdiga pennorna att applicera med pensel istället.
Today I got started with an idea I got earlier. I rarely use my Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils from NYX (like big creamy eye pencils, great as eyeshadow bases) because they're such a mess to sharpen, which needs to be done quite often. So a while ago I realised how I should solve the problem.
I guess you've seen the Flash Color Palette from Make Up For Ever? If not it's a palette of creamy colours that could be used all over the body, check out Temptalias blog post for more info. Almost costs $100, super expensive and amazingly beautiful. Damn it, I'm gonna make my own flash palette! So I ordered a small compartment box off Ebay, costs about a dollar. Filled the box/palette with my Jumbo Pencils (around $3 on Cherryculture) and now I've even got some space left for more. If we pretend that I filled the whole palette the complete cost is about $30. So great! And now I can apply those messy pencils with a brush instead.

Här är en serie bilder jag för typ två år sedan postade i min gamla blogg, och kände att det var värt att dra upp igen.
En ögonmakeup behöver inte alls vara komplicerad och med tusen olika produkter, här är fyra exempel på makeuper lagda med bara en ögonskugga. Sedan smäller man på lite kajal, eyeliner och mascara och vips var det klart! Snyggt och lätt, eller hur?

An eye make up look doesn't have to be complicated and done with a thousand different products, here's four looks done with only one eyeshadow. After applying it I just threw on some kohl, eyeliner and mascara and boom, it's done! Nice and simple, right?

Tycker du liksom jag att hårda tvålar som de från Lush är jobbiga att hantera i duschen? Hacka upp tvålen i småbitar stora nog för en användning. Lägg i en fin ask och plocka med dig en bit för varje dusch. Stoppa sedan in biten i en skrubb/tvätthandske och gnugga loss!
Do you find hard soaps like the ones from Lush hard to handle in the shower? Chop the soap up in tiny pieces small enough for one use. Put them in a nice box and take a piece with you each time you're showering. Put the piece of soap in a scrub/washing glove and lather away!

Dagens tips dagens tips lalalalala dagens tips! När man har supersunkigt hår utan tid att göra något åt det kan man göra såhär: Bry dig inte om att kamma håret eller fixa benan. Rulla upp sidorna och sätt en hårnål eller två på varje sida. Klart.
Tip of the day! If your hair seriously sucks and you don't have time to do anything about it you can do like this: Don't care about brushing it or fixing your parting. Roll the sides up and put a pin or two on each side. Done.
För att avancera det hela: Stick in en blomma eller nåt för att show offa din sanna bohemsjäl, eller bara för att försäkra dig om att ingen fattar att ditt hår bara suger idag. Jag orkade inte. Tadaa!
