Halloween look - mummy

I lördags firade jag halloween med några vänner, en vecka tidigt, vilket ju är skitbra inspiration för er som inte firat ännu!

Jag körde på en klassisk mumie-look med skulpterad blek hy, lite dammig spindelväv i ansiktet och tusen meter tyg lindat runt kroppen. Jag har tyvärr inte orken/tiden att göra en tutorial på makeupen (jag visade samma makeup här när jag testade den för några dagar sedan, och då var det många som ville se en tutorial), men det är väl egentligen bara såhär jag gjort:

1. Vit flytande foundation blandat med en skvätt av min vanliga foundation i ansiktet.
2. Pudra ansiktet med en vit ögonskugga.
3. Skulptera fram kindben, ögonhålor osv. med svart matt skugga.
4. Lägg till dimension och färg med hjälp av en mörkbrun, lila och senapsgul matt skugga.
5. Damma över solpuder för att ge lite mer "ökenlook".
6. Sätta fast spindelnätet med hårnålar, pudra mängder löspuder över som damm, och sedan lindar du in dig i trasor.

 

This saturday I celebrated halloween with some friends, a week too early, which is awesome inspiration for you who haven't celebrated yet!

I went for a classic mummy look with a sculpted pale complexion, some dusty spiderwebs on my face and like a thousand metres of cloth wrapped around my body. Sorry but I haven't got the energy/time to sit down and do a tutorial for the makeup (I showed you the same makeup here when I tried it on a couple of days ago, and many of you wanted to see a tutorial) but this is basically what I did:

1. White liquid foundation mixed with a dab of my regular foundation on my face.
2. Powder my face with a white eyeshadow.
3. Sculpt cheekbones, eye sockets and such with a matte black shadow.
4. Add some dimension and colour with a dark brown, purple and mustard yellow matte shadow.
5. Dust some bronzer on for that "desert look".
6. Add the spiderweb with bobby pins, powder loads of loose powder on top as dust, and then wrap yourself up with cloth.

 

 

Trasorna är en gammal gardin jag rivit upp och färgat med utspädd hårfärg och kanel för en smutsig look.

The cloth is an old curtain that I ripped up and dyed with diluted hairdye and cinnamon for a dirty look.

 

Såhär såg naglarna ut. Någon nudefärg (minns inte vilken) med fakeblod målat längs nagelbanden. Blodet är gjort på mjöl, soja och rödbetsspad.

This is how my nails looked. Some nude colour (don't remember which) with fake blood along my cuticles. The blood is made of flour, soy sauce and beetroot juice.

Kontrol

Illamasquas höstkollektion Theatre of the Nameless har jag tjatat mer än nog om, men jag måste bara göra det en gång till.. Jag har redan visat er den oxblodsröda eyelinern Havoc (även om bilderna sög), men här är det absoluta guldkornet, läppstiftet Kontrol. Kostar £15.50 (ca 170 kr) på Illamasqua.com.

Det glider som smör på läpparna utan att vara kladdigt, och likt Illamasquas läppstift i övrigt är pigmenteringen top notch. Inget gnuggande fram och tillbaka eller bråk med flammigt resultat vilket ofta hör ihop med mörka stift. Nej, applicera med pensel så ser det alldeles perfekt ut. Jag själv applicerade direkt från stiftet, och även om jag uppenbarligen klarade mig såhär så hade det helt klart varit snyggare. Jag har inte heller burit det länge nog för att kunna avgöra om det blöder ut i läppkonturen eller inte, så för att vara helt safe skulle jag nog tipsa om att använda en läppenna under, även om jag själv inte lär orka. Illamasqua brukar vara bra på det där med läppstift, så jag är inte särskilt orolig.

Nyansen är åt det kallare hållet med en askig ton över det hela. "blå-violett" som Illamasqua själva säger. Nedtonat men en riktig attention whore, bästa mixen! Än fast den är helt knäpp så skulle jag inte ha något som helst problem med att gå ut såhär till vardags. Nyansen känns faktiskt förvånansvärt lättburen.

 

I've been talking loads about the Illamasqua fall collection called Theatre of the Nameless lately, but I just have to do it one more time.. I already showed you the oxblood-red eyeliner called Havoc (even though the pictures sucked), but here's the pearl of the collection, the lipstick called Kontrol. Costs £15.50 at Illamasqua.com.

It glides like butter in the lips without being greasy, and like Illamasquas lipsticks overall the pigmentation is top notch. No rubbing back and forth or uneven applications which dark lipsticks often go hand in hand with. No, apply it with a brush and it'll look awesome. I applied it directly from the tube, and even though I obviously made it through it definitely would have looked better that way. I haven't worn it long enough to tell if it bleeds into the fine lines around the lips during the day or not, so to be completely safe I would advice you to wear it with a lip liner. Even though I probably won't do it myself. Illamasqua are awesome at lipsticks, so I'm not too worried.

The shade leans toward a cool purple, with an ashy tone over it. "blue violet" as the Illamasqua site says. Toned down but a true attention whore, the best mix ever! Even though it looks nuts in a way I would have no problem at all going out with this on as an everyday look. A comfortable shade, believe it or not!

Idag fick jag ett infall och lekte runt med lite skuggor och fransar. Det blev lösfransar både uppe och nere den här gången! De övre fransarna (Red Cherry) är gudomliga. Lätta att sätta fast och är riktigt mjuka. Köpte mina över Ebay men de går att hitta i tusen olika webshopar. De undre.. URGHHH!! De sprättade loss sjutusen gånger och ser mest bara fula och plastiga ut. Borde ha satsat på några bättre fransar. Dessa kom från KKCenterHK.

 

Today I went crazy with some eyeshadows and lashes. I applied false lashes both on top and bottom this time! The top ones (Red Cherry) are amazing. Easy to apply and the bands are really soft. Bought mine on Ebay but you can get them from like a million other web shops. The lower lashes.. URGGHHH!! They fell off like seven thousand times and they just look ugly and plastic-y. Should have went for some better lashes. Those were from KKCenterHK.

Fairy skin

Idag fick jag hem en beställning grejer från Illamasqua och jag blev förstås tvungen att hugga in på direkten. Resultatet blev något älvliknande i klassisk Illamasqua-anda, mest pyssel med huden och inte med ögonen den här gången. Testar mig igenom ett nytt borstset från Sigma också, så även det det fick sig en omgång nu.

 

Today I recieved an order from Illamasqua and of course I had to dig in directly. The result became something fairy like, classic Illamasqua style. Mostly focusing on the skin and not the eyes this time. I'm testing my way through a brush set from Sigma too, so that also got used a lot today.

Forget everything I've ever said

Glöm allt jag någonsin sagt om intensiva läppfärger. Någonsin. För här är de absolut galnaste neonerna jag någonsin målat på mina läppar. Stiften är från Stargazer, vilka du kan köpa på Shock.se eller som jag, över Ebay. Jag hade hört talas om att de hade fina klarrosa och klarorange läppstift, så jag klickade hem dem. Jag förnekar av förståeliga skäl inte intensiteten i dessa en sekund.

Att de är lite gryniga och därför mindre kul att måla med är en annan sak, men för det låga priset kan de gott ursäktas när de har sådana här sjuka färger. LOVE IT!

 

Forget everything I've ever said about bright lips. Ever. Because these are the craziest neons I've ever painted on my lips. These lipsticks are from Stargazer, and I bought them on Ebay. I've heard of their pretty bright orange and pink lipsticks, so I ordered them. At this very moment I don't deny the fact that they're intense, I think you might understand me.

The fact that they're a bit grainy to apply, well, I can accept that. They're cheap and the colours are just amazing. LOVE IT!
