Ännu ett lack ur China Glazes julkollektion Let it Snow, här är Tinsel Town! Ett kompakt silverglitter i grå bas. Fantastiskt fint och täcker på två lager, lättmålat är det också. En riktig blickfångare utan att vara färgglad, den gnistrar verkligen som diamanter. Kolla videon nedan, så fascinerande!

Another polish from the China Glaze holiday collection called Let it Snow, here is Tinsel Town! A compact silver glitter in a grey base. Extremely beautiful and it's opaque in two coats, easy to apply too. It really catches your eye even though it isn't bright colour wise, it really sparkles like diamonds. Check the video below, so fascinating!

Grey lips?

Ett av de nyaste i samlingen, och helt klart en ny favorit. Shine från FACE Stockholm är en varmgrå pärla, sådär lagom knäpp-normal. Helt i min smak alltså! För att få bäst effekt krävs det att man blankar ut färgen på läpparna med lite foundation eller liknande innan, annars lyser läppfärgen gärna igenom lite. Kostar 215 kr på FACE.

One of the newest in my collection, and definitely a new favourite. Shine from FACE Stockholm is a lovely warm grey shade, normal bordering crazy, in other words right up my alley! To get the best effect you need to blank out the colour of your lips with some foundation or such, the lip colour tend to shine through a little bit if you don't. Not sure if FACE Stockholm is available internationally, let me know!

Idag plockade jag fram Sugarpill-skuggorna jag visade er igår och testade vad de går för på ögonen. Tok-intensiva är vad de är! Det var helt klart för dålig ljus för att fota nu, men det låtsas vi inte om.

Today I got the Sugarpill shadows I showed you yesterday out and tried them on the eyes. Crazy intense is what they are! The light was definitely too bad to take pictures now, but let's not think about that.

GOSH - Purple Heart

Här är ett lack jag styrt på att testa ett tag nu. I slutet av sommaren var jag ju i Riga med en hög skönhetsbloggare och ramlade då över GOSH på ett köpcentrum, och ryckte Purple Heart ur hyllan på en millisekund. GOSH kan vara rätt krångligt att få tag på här i Sverige såvida man inte har en langare, eller bor i Malmö för där finns det uppenbarligen något plejs som säljer dem. Men i huvudsak är det Danmark som gäller.

Purple Heart är en oljefläck i lackform! Den växlar mellan murkigt off-svart, skogsgrönt och mörklila beroende på ljus, ganska subtilt men himla himla vackert. Täcker utmärkt på två lager och torkar snabbt. Perfekt för hösten!

Here's a polish that I've had lying around a while. At the end of the summer I went to Riga with a bunch of beauty bloggers and there I found GOSH at a mall, so I snatched Purple Heart from the shelf in a millisecond. GOSH can be quite hard to find here in Sweden if you don't have a dealer, they're mainly sold in Denmark.

Purple Heart is an oil slick in polish form! It shifts between a murky off black, forest green and dark purple depending on light, quite subtle but very very beautiful. Opaque in two coats and dries quickly. Perfect for fall!

Efter att ha pratat lite på Facebook om Charla kände jag mig tvungen att pimpa ringfingrarna på min lacksvarta manikyr. Två lager Charla över IsaDora Gothic Black. Önskar att Charla kom till sin rätt på bilden, i flaskan ser ni mer av den fina sjöjungfrueffekten. Eller så kollar ni bara på mitt blogginlägg om lacket.

After talking a bit about Charla on Facebook I had to pimp the ringfingers on my ink black manicure up. Two coats of Charla on top of IsaDora Gothic Black. I wish that Charla showed up better in this picture, in the bottle you can see more of the beautiful mermaid effect. Or go to the blog post I wrote about the polish.

..eller ska jag säga "världens mest underskattade manikyr"? Nästan fånigt hur jag så sällan får för mig att bära blanksvarta naglar, det är ju faktiskt skitsnyggt.

Gothic Black presterar gudomligt med full täckning på ett tjockt eller två tunna lager, torkar snabbt gör det också. Sen är ju den breda borsten en smakfråga.

..or should I say "worlds most underrated manicure"? It's almost silly how rarely I feel like wearing glossy black nails, it looks so damn hot.

Gothic Black performs amazingly with full opacity in one thick or two thin coats, dries fast too. The wide brush is a question of taste though.

Lumene Blueberry Long-Wear Solo Eyeshadow - The Darkness of Lapland (4)

Den här ögonskuggan är den roligaste produkten jag vet just nu. Tycker egentligen inte att den är märkvärdig på något särskilt sätt, liksom, det är en svart-ish mörkgrå matt skugga, glider på rätt fint och fungerar väl bra överlag. Men det som gör den så slående rolig är namnet. Den som döper en skugga till The Darkness of Lapland är min idol. Så metal.

95 kr på KICKS, lanseras nu i september.

This eyeshadow is the funniest product I know at the moment. I don't really think that it's surprising in any way, I mean, it's a blackish dark grey matte shadow, it glides on quite nicely and well, it works quite good. What is so extremely funny with it is the name. The person who calls a shadow The Darkness of Lapland is my idol. So metal.

Released in September here in Sweden, don't know if it's available internationally.

Glossy

En underliggande "sminkregel" är ju att ögonsminket absolut inte får vecka sig på ögonlocket, just därför tycker jag att det är kul att leka med det motsatta. Här har ni en skitenkel variant av glossig ögonmakeup med massiv creasing, och vet ni vad? Jag gillar't. Kanske lite för klistrigt för att bära när som helst (tänk på hur håret fastnar i glossiga läppar.. ja, du fattar. Inte najs) men ballt till fotograferingar exempelvis. Gör sig svinbra i svartvitt med tanke på den intressanta texturen.

Resten av makeupen höll jag lätt och väldigt imperfekt. Brynen brydde jag mig inte i alls, ingen concealer under ögonen, bronsad men ickepudrad foundation med låg täckning (blandad med ansiktskräm).. allt för att skapa en ovårdad look. Och så ett par nudeläppar på det hela. Boom.

A classic "make up rule" is that the eye makeup isn't in any way allowed to crease on the lid, that's why I find it interesting to play with the opposite. Here's a super simple glossy eye makeup with massive creasing, and you know what? I like it. Maybe a bit too sticky for everyday wear (you know how your hair gets stuck in glossy lips.. yeah. thats it) but it's cool for photo sessions for example. This kind of interesting texture looks great in black and white photos.

I kept the rest of the look very light and imperfect. Didn't do anything at all to my brows, no concealer under the eyes, bronzed but not powdered foundation with low coverage (mixed with moisturizer).. All of this to create a ragged look. And then a nude lip to top it all off. Boom.

As I said, the texture is awesome in B&W!

Idag ser mina naglar ut som ett meteorregn! Ett lager Matte Vinyl som bas och sedan Disco Ball fokuserat mot nagelbanden för en kul effekt. Toppade sedan alltihop med överlack från Poshe. Visst är glittret fint? Rosa och blått i en genomskinlig bas. Andra bilden här nedan är mest korrekt i färg. Jag ska testa glitterlacket över nude någon gång också, lär se alldeles toppen ut!

Today my nails look like a meteor shower! A coat of Matte Vinyl as a base and then Disco Ball focused towards the cuticles for a fun effect. Then I topped everything off with a topcoat from Poshe. Isn't this glitter pretty? Pink and blue in a clear base. The second picture below is the most colour accurate. I'll try the glitter polish over nude later, I bet it will look just as good!

A tribute to miss Winehouse!

Likt Beleza väljer jag att följa Fröken Rosas idé, att i Amy Winehouses namn smälla på värsta eyelinervingen. Jag valde att ta steget längre och köra hela Winehouse-looken rakt igenom när jag ändå var igång. Att hon var en ledsam själ är ett faktum, men likaså hennes stora röst. Hatten av!

Och tusen pussar och kramar till mina Norska läsare, all kärlek till er i denna tunga tid.

Just like Beleza I choose to follow Fröken Rosa's idea to do a tribute to Amy Winehouse by smacking on our biggest winged eyeliners. I chose to take it a step further and did the whole Winehouse look while I was at it. Her life ended sadly, but she had such a voice. Hats off!

And a thousand hugs and kisses to my Norwegian readers, lots of love through these hard times.

Idag fick det bli lite sotade ögon. Mattsvart och mörkgråbrunt med lite bronsigt skimmer till, fint att piffa upp svärtan med något skimrigt sådär. Jag tog mig äntligen orken att testa senaste paletten från Too Faced vid namn Eye Love, det är en samlingspalett som innehåller två skuggor från varje tidigare palett (Natural Eye, Smoky Eye, Naked Eye, Romantic Eye). Bra basfärger! Bild på paletten finns längre ner.

Den här ögonmakeupen valde jag att visa med två olika läppmakeuper, först ut den klassiska "sotade ögon och nudeläppar", får mig direkt att tänka på Posh Spice. En snygg look men inte riktigt för mig, för lite färg liksom. Sååå, i den andra bilden smällde jag på ett par klarlila läppar, och plötsligt kände jag mig mer bekväm. Mer bekväm i lila läppar än nude.. Ja, det är ju onekligen en smakfråga. Haha. Vilken läppmakeup skulle du föredra?

Today I wore a smokey eye. Matte black and dark greyish brown with some bronze shimmer, it's nice to add something shimmery to all of the black. I finally got myself together and tried the latest Too Faced palette called Eye Love, a collection of two shadows from each earlier palette (Natural Eye, Smoky Eye, Naked Eye, Romantic Eye). Great basic shades! There's a picture of the palette further down.

I decided to show you this eye make up with two different lip looks, first one is a classic "smokey eyes and nude lips", makes me think of Posh Spice. A hot look but not really what I would wear, I miss some colour. Sooo, in the second picture I smacked a pair of bright purple lips on and felt much more comfortable. More comfortable in purple than nude.. Well, it's definitely a question of personal taste. Haha. What lip look would you prefer?

Simple silver

Som utlovat, här är makeupen från igårkväll. Dök hem en kort sväng och tvättade bort det blekrosa och persikofärgade sminket för att ersätta med grått, tämjde mitt kaotiska hår och drog på mig en långklänning i svart istället. Skööönt! Plötsligt var jag på banan igen.

Makeupen var himla simpel, kändes bra så. Spex är inte alltid det roligaste liksom. Jag målade en gråsilvrig kajalpenna runt hela ögat och suddade ut med fingrarna, målade sen innanför fransraderna och på med mascara. En dutt rosa läppstift och lite korallfärgat cremerouge på kinderna. Lite grunge-flirtigt sådär.

As I promised, here's my makeup from last night. I got home a quickie and washed off my pale pink and peach make up to replace it with grey, tamed my wild hair down and slipped into a black long dress instead. Felt soooo good! Back on track to say the least.

The makeup itself was really simple, felt good to not overdo it. Sometimes it just looks better when you keep it simple. I sketched a silvery grey kohl pencil around the eye and on the waterline and smudged it with my fingers and then applied mascara. A dab of pink lipstick and some coral creme blush on the cheeks. A flirty grunge look all in all.

Idag blir det en liten gothpärla, minsann! Är helt tokig i det här lacket, men har styrt upp att testa det i över en månad. Så idag var det dags. MUMS!

Det här är alltså Dorothy från NYX, ett rött glitter i en skir svart bas. På bilderna nedan är det applicerat över ett svart lack, det är nämligen nästintill omöjligt att få fint på egen hand. Har test-swatchat det på lite olika färger men blev inte särskilt förtjust i någon annan kombination än ovanpå svart. Klassiskt och snyggt som attan. På bilderna hade jag ett lager glitter, två hade också varit fint, men jag gillar att behålla manikyren i helhet ganska svart så jag föredrar det nog såhär. Gillar man detta så gillar man troligen också rymdiga Frizz Spots från NYX.

Köpte mitt över Ebay för några dollar, men finns på Cherryculture också för den som hellre shoppar där. Där är den dock felmärkt, står som "Dorthy", inte "Dorothy". Om ni är sådana som jag som sidsöker innan ni ens kollat in sidan tänkte jag. Haha.

Here's a gothic darling, fo sho! I'm crazy about this polish, but I've had it standing unworn for over a month. So now I thought it was time. YUM!

So this is Dorothy from NYX, a red glitter in a sheer black base. In these pictures it's applied over another black polish, it's almost impossible to get this one to look good on its own. I've tried swatching it on top of different colours but I didn't really like it combined with anything else than black. Classic and hot as hell! In these pictures I wore one coat of glitter, but two would have looked nice too. I like to keep the manicure quite black overall, so I think I prefer it this way. If you like this I guess you would also like the space-y polish called Frizz Spots from NYX.

I bought mine on Ebay for a couple of dollars, but it's available on Cherryculture too. There it's labeled as "Dorthy" and not "Dorothy" though. If you're like me and search the page before really looking at it, you know. Haha.

Tack vare Helen blev jag sugen på att leka med eyeliner, och gick nu tillbaka lite till mitt fjortonåriga jag. Den ni! Haha. Fick däremot i stressen ingen bild på bara ett öga, men klippte lite halvdant ut ett par ögon ur en annan bild, kanske kan väga upp lite.

Thanks to Helen I felt like playing around with some eyeliner, and for a moment I went back to my fourteen year old me. Haha. I got no picture of only one eye in the hurry, but I cut a pair of eyes out from another picture, not good in any way but it might be an alternative at least.

Idag fick jag ett infall och lekte runt med lite skuggor och fransar. Det blev lösfransar både uppe och nere den här gången! De övre fransarna (Red Cherry) är gudomliga. Lätta att sätta fast och är riktigt mjuka. Köpte mina över Ebay men de går att hitta i tusen olika webshopar. De undre.. URGHHH!! De sprättade loss sjutusen gånger och ser mest bara fula och plastiga ut. Borde ha satsat på några bättre fransar. Dessa kom från KKCenterHK.

Today I went crazy with some eyeshadows and lashes. I applied false lashes both on top and bottom this time! The top ones (Red Cherry) are amazing. Easy to apply and the bands are really soft. Bought mine on Ebay but you can get them from like a million other web shops. The lower lashes.. URGGHHH!! They fell off like seven thousand times and they just look ugly and plastic-y. Should have went for some better lashes. Those were from KKCenterHK.

Hectic

Ikväll blev det sotat med gröna Hectic från Make Up Store och silvriga Gunmetal från Urban Decay. Jag gillar att undvika svart i sådana här makeuper emellanåt, att låta fransarna vara det enda kolsvarta och hålla resten i mörkgrått. Det ger sotningen en lite annan touch sådär. I övrigt är sminket rätt neutralt, bronsade kinder och nudeläppar för att inte konkurrera för mycket med ögonen.

Tonight I'm wearing a smokey eye with a green eyeshadow called Hectic from Make Up Store and silvery Gunmetal from Urban Decay. I like keeping the black away from make up looks like this one sometimes, letting the lashes be the only pitch black thing and keep the rest dark grey. That gives the smokey eye a different touch. Apart from the eyes the make up is quite neutral, bronzed cheeks and nude lips to keep focus on the eyes.

Har är ett himla fint rymdglittrigt lack från NYX! Två lager glitter över ett lager Orly Matte Vinyl. Det är alldeles för transparent för att den blaskigt svarta basen ska kunna täcka av sig själv. Hade den kunnat det så hade glittret däremot inte synts, man får helt enkelt bara klassa det som ett layering-lack.

Here's a pretty space like glitter polish from NYX! Two layers of glitter on top of one layer of Orly Matte Vinyl. It's far too transparent to be able to cover anything with that sheer black base, but if the coverage was better the glitter wouldn't show up like it does. You'll just have to consider this being a layering polish from start.

Argh, tipwear! Wore this polish for two days and through glass class before taking the pictures, so it's a bit worn off. Sorry!

Idag testade jag The Vegan Palette jag fick hem igår! Suddade bara den mörkgrå skuggan Gunmetal över hela ögat och målade lite svart kajal. Dagens produktlista blev superkort!

Today I tried The Vegan Palette out! I just washed the dark grey shadow called Gunmetal all over the eye and applied some black kohl. Todays product list is super short!
